Hello everyone! I need some help with my situation.

Background: My father, a government employee, was recently transferred from Kanpur to Pune. I wanted to send my scooty from Kanpur to Pune, with my father as the sender and me as the receiver. My train to Pune was on Nov 7, so we booked and deposited the scooty at Kanpur station on Nov 6. I expected it to reach Pune by the time I arrived on Nov 8 or 9.

Here’s what happened: 1. Nov 7 - I missed my train, so I went to check on the scooty’s status. The clerk told me it hadn’t been loaded due to high parcel volume and that I’d get SMS updates once it’s on the way. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any confirmed train ticket until Nov 13, so I decided to join a friend driving to Pune on Nov 9. 2. Nov 9 - Before leaving, my father told me he needed the scooty in Kanpur as his transfer was postponed. I handed him the receipt and left for Pune. My father went to cancel the booking and retrieve the scooty, but they said it had already been sent on a special train, which doesn’t appear in the system.

Now I’m in Pune with a spare key but no receipt.

My questions: 1. Will they release the scooty to me without a receipt (it’s on the way via courier)? 2. Will I be charged for any delay in picking it up? 3. Did I make any mistakes here? 4. Who should I contact for help?

I haven’t received any SMS updates, and the PRR number doesn’t show any record of it being loaded. Any advice would be appreciated!
