So, I have been on a recent trip to the Himalayas and rented a 2021 Himalayan and rode 400 km in 4 days.
These are what I thought as a solo rider
I was anti RE all these days because of the lack of basic tech and just how comically easy they are to steal and how easyly the parts break.
(This was the first time I lived with a RE for more than an hour)
I loved the experience overall and I am now seriously considering if I should get the next scram or the next Himalayan.
I loved how easy it is to ride and how it can keep going for hours and hours once you found the sweet spot.
But the seat was hurting my bum every 70-90 kms, but its a rented bike and If I buy it Im going to get the seat altered or fit the air cushion.
I wasnt carrying any luggage so I am not sure how it would behave with bags and panniers and top box and jerry cans.
Now riding at those altitudes the bike usually struggles to go and I can feel that happening past 4k rpm there is more sound than forward movement and I found that 3.5-4k rpm is the sweet point in the rev band
Coming home to my bike (Fazer v2.0) it felt like a fucking toy. (LOL)
I was a bit nervous on the wet and ice because I had a moment on ice(which probably would have been the case for any bike) but wet wasnt that much of a problem and I rode like a granddad on wet surfaces.
Abs didnt feel that intrusive and I locked the back wheel in two cases one when I had to break when a guy was emergency breaking and I had to break in a hurry too and the other was when I didnt know there was ice under the wheels 😅. (I didn't change the default in both cases)
The fuel guage was a fucking liar.
I think its a great bike for someone who travels a lot which is kind of my requirement albeit the seat issue. (rubs bum).
Now RE Boys and Girls I know you know all of this.
This is written from a non RE boy perspective and I request you to not come at me bruh..
