Where is a good place to make new friends near the north side? I noticed the other day that I've lost contact with most of my friends on the south side or from Purdue, and I look forward to when my boyfriend's friends come over just so that I have people to talk to, but I haven't made a new friend in like seven months and it's hard to keep in contact with her because it takes her several days to answer her texts.
I know this sounds needy, but do I need to spend $300 on an art class or gym membership to meet new people who aren't "busy?" I've thought about volunteering as well. I figure the animal shelter off of Michigan Rd would be a good place to volunteer and meet some people but I just haven't gone yet.
