Our water has been shut off twice this year through no fault of out own. This summer they shut it off because an apartment near us missed payments, and they somehow mistook out apartment for theirs. Yesterday our water was shut off without notice again. My boyfriend called and they told him they needed money for a reconnection in an account with no balance that did not receive a disconnect notice but that makes no sense because he just paid a bill last week or two. I trust my boyfriend pays his bills on time. We also get bills for this fraternity, phi kappa psi I think, all the freaking time and they have nothing to do with us. I highly doubt a fraternity was ever based out of our apartment. They say they can't reconnect the water until tomorrow morning.

Is there something we can do about this? Neither of us would have the time or desire to sue, but is there a discount or free bill or something that we should request? Is it just us?

I think our water is through IPL but I'm not sure. Edit: I think it is through citizen's united.
