Indiana, this is the most important stretch of the campaign - and we are in a perfect position to help. We must win Ohio. We must win Illinois. So what can you do? Carpool/canvass in OH and IL, phone bank and facebank in all upcoming states (OH, IL, MO, FL, NC), and help get out the vote!

As Jeff Weaver said, "Here’s the truth: In less than 48 hours, the polls open in five large and delegate-rich states. These are the most important two days of our campaign. We need to do well on Tuesday because after that the map shifts dramatically in our favor. With every vote cast after Tuesday, Hillary Clinton’s lead will only shrink until we overtake her campaign, probably sometime in early June. But it all comes back to these next 48 hours, and we still have work to do."

With that said, we here in Indiana are in a perfect position to help - sandwiched between two of the most important states of the primary thus far. So what can we do to make sure that Bernie wins big on Tuesday, just like he won in Michigan?

  1. Carpool to Ohio and Illinois: One of the most important and productive things we can do right now is to travel to Ohio and Illinois to canvass. Canvassing is one of the best ways to spread Bernie's message, and helps to convince voters to not only vote in the primary, but also to vote Bernie! Check out these volunteer-led carpools that are heading to Ohio and Illinois from now until election day on Tuesday. Here are the GOTV and canvassing events in Ohio and Illinois.

  2. Phone Bank: For those of us who can't make the commute to our neighbors to the east and west, phone banking is the next best option for helping encourage voters to vote for Bernie. However, since you can phone bank anywhere, this means that we can reach not only the voters in Ohio and Illinois, but also voters in the other crucial March 15th states - Florida, Missouri, and North Carolina. So if you are trying to figure out what to do on a grey and rainy day (or a bright and sunny day) check out Bernie's phone banking site, which gives you a guide, a script, and some pointers if you need.

  3. Facebank: Lastly, face banking can be a useful tool if you want to help get out the vote via online methods. This technique finds users on Facebook who already like Bernie Sanders' page, and with your effort, are notified about the upcoming primary elections. This can help remind and convince voters to get out and vote in their states. After all, Bernie wins when there is a large voter turnout. Check out these different face banking techniques here and here to help reach voters in these crucial states.

As always, keep canvassing, keep calling, keep typing, keep it positive. Bernie needs us now more than ever. A big win in the primaries on Tuesday, March 15th is absolutely necessary to help keep Bernie a contender in the race. If he loses Ohio, if he loses Illinois - if he underperforms anywhere - the road to the nomination will be faced with more obstacles, more difficulty. We can't lose this momentum. We here in Indiana are in a great position to influence the election. Let's get out there.

"Finally, let's understand that when we stand together, we will always win. When men and women stand together for justice, we win. When black, white and Hispanic people stand together for justice, we win." - Bernie Sanders
