I recently noticed that a lot of right wingers have started vilifying judges and are trying to portray them as entitled elitists. I was confused at first but then it made sense. They don't actually hate the judiciary, they hate the constitution.
The Indian constitution and the IPC are unbiased (at least in theory), with regards to caste and religion. And that is what's unacceptable to them. They're still sour about India not being a purely Hindu country and they are willing to do anything to change that.
If they do wanna make changes in the constitution, they need to target the judiciary first. If they can cause enough dissent amongst the people, they can finally get their wish.
According to me, among the branches of the govt judiciary is the common man's best friend. And with the condition the Indian media is in, the judiciary is our last remaining ally.
Again, this is a layman's opinion. I would love to hear what you guys think
