I had an unauthorized auto-debit on my Jio AutoPay for my mobile for a whole year's worth of plan that I don't need. Customer care is unable to resolve this via a refund. What do I do?

I had setup Jio AutoPay and opted for the Rs. 1559 plan which offers a 336 days validity. So this plan is set to expire in May 2023. Up until nearly end of August, everything was fine. And then on August 28th, I suddenly see an unexpected debit in my bank account for Rs. 1559 from JIO and I check my statement and see that Jio AutoPay has automatically charged for an additional plan for another 336 days. The 2nd plan is now in the "Upcoming Plans" section.

I tried using the "Live Chat" feature in the MyJio app but it is just a bot that tries to route you to the FAQ section for anything. There's no way to chat with a real person. So I call 199 and I've had upto a dozen calls to them, with each of them having me explain the situation, them understanding it and explaining to me that when a successful transaction is done, there is no way for them to refund or transfer the plan to someone else. To which I have to tell them that this was a mistake at their end and that they have to rectify it somehow. They ask me to wait while they try to connect with a supervisor and EVERY time so far, their hold ends with them saying that they're unable to connect and asking me to call back later. Either that or they just cut the call.

I have tried contacting them via Twitter. They ask me to send me my number in the DM and for days now they have been asking me to wait while their team looks into it. Every time it is the same copy pasted message saying that their team is looking into it and when I ask them for an ETA, they just copy paste the same message.

I have emailed via their site, but there is no service ticket created or a confirmation email back to me saying that they have received the message.

I have tried contacting JioCare on Twitter. They keep assuring me that someone is looking into this and they have been saying that for days.

The problem is that I may not be in India next year so this second plan is completely useless to me. So I don't even want to let this slide for the sake of saving myself the headache of chasing these guys.

My ideal resolution for this would be a full refund back to my back account. But it looks like they aren't gonna do much about it.

What are my options?
