So what could/ should be those 100 cities which government is planning to make 'smart'?
Post Body

I am a bit bored in office but at the same time wondering about the smart cities promised by BJP in its menifesto and their long term effect over the life in metros. Do we already have any info regarding these cities in power corridors? If yes, can we collate it in this thread. Is it going to bring down the real estate prices in metros/ high-tech cities?

Lets put forward city names with questions/ comparisons from the story of already developed cities which come to your mind.

To start with, I think Bhiwadi near Gurgaon has that potential. It already is filled up with industries both inside and nearby. It has a proposed airport (commercial fright). Upcoming Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor passes through it. Comparisions could be made to Okhla in Delhi. It was among the first small scale industries hubs. Although it took a lot of time but now it has most expensive suburb of South Delhi in its proximity.

P.S. My comparison of Okhla is just on the basis of my observation of few years I have been here from.
