Workflow for InDesign > PDF (fillable form with calculations)
Post Body

Hi folks we have an order form we've been using for years that is in InDesign. It would be so much more functional if parents (users) can fill it out and then print or send. From my understanding ID cannot do the calculations part (which is quantity x price, then add individual line items to total). So I would have to set that up in Acrobat after the PDF is exported.

My question is what is the best set up and workflow that would make setting up the calculations easier each time the form is updated? I have no experience making editable forms in ID or Acrobat so really any info is helpful. Hoping to avoid having to set up the calculations each time we make a change to the form.
