Placing A3 PPT into A3 Indesign, yet the dimensions seem off?

Hello! I am trying to convert a vertical magazine I started making in PPT into indesign for greater design capabilities. However, when I place the PDF of the PPT onto the pages of my Indesign project, they copy as smaller than the Indesign pages -- though both are set to A3. Am I doing something wrong?
I've been googling a ton and getting frustrated by how nonspecific some of the resources online are. Ttanks so much!!!
