Me (21 transfem she/they) and my cousin (24 transfem xe/xir) have been married for two years
We're not "legally" married but that's just bc fuck the government
Here in Mexico it isn't illegal to marry your cousin and it isn't even seen as too taboo
Although it isn't the same in most queer communities I'm in... and it honestly can be pretty scary considering it's there where I go when I feel scared to be who I want to be
My cousin and I have been helping each other through our transition and we've also been each other's first partners
A huge part of why I'm queer it's thanks to xir and I want to be able to say that out loud without being afraid of the backlash
So yeah... I'm happy to have a place where I can finally speak my mind
It is wonderful that you have each other and your love.
