Despite our living in the so-called Information Age, we are very much in the Age of Un-Reason, a period in which a shocking number of people read fewer whole books, believe more in conspiracies, crackpot theories and superstitions than they did half a century ago, consume their information very selectively, and contort their minds to fit whatever information they do consume into their existing faulty thinking.
