I've been with the same girl for over 7 years and one day she flips out about how she doesn't want children (tirade triggered by a new adopted dog). This lambasting caught me off guard and went on for so long I began sobbing hysterically knowing that I had wasted 7 years and despite freedom to get things outside relationship (including offspring) and somewhat knowing that she didn't want pregnancy or offspring, to hear it being drove in to the ground and to not understand why I was so upset and then getting angry after I told her that it is literally a requirement to even being considered a living organism to have a desire to procreate. That which disturbs one's soul should not be endured... I'm 36, and I can feel primal need surging-- to breed any and every fertile womb possible.
