Transition recommendations for a J1 Visa Holder

Hello, i am currently 9 months into my J1 Program and my visa is set to expire in Late October. I am not subject to the 2 Year rule (212-E). My current employer is willing to hire me and provide for the processing of a new visa to keep me. The options that i know of are the following:

An H1B Visa

An EB3 Visa, which i’ve heard takes a longer amount of time to process, which i do not have

A J1 Extension, which would buy me time to stay and wait for a.) process my EB3 Visa b.) wait for my relative to sponsor me as they are getting their citizenship by then
