This may be a little complicated but here we go. My GF lives in Santo Domingo with her 7 year old daughter. The father of the girl is coming to the US to live and bringing the girl with him.
I advised her to have a lawyer draw up an agreement that states various common sense things such as sending the girl to Santo Domingo to visit her Mom and other things. My GF does not have a Visa to travel here to the US. The lawyer who drew up this agreement informed her she will likely need to give full custody to the father of her daughter to attend school, any truth to that? How can she protect her parental rights?
