Adding Rack Space to Fredde Desk?

Post Body

Hi all,

As implied by the title I'm looking for some insight, just having trouble visualizing how I would accomplish this. I use my Fredde desk as a computer desk. The bottom shelves aren't being used (my PC is getting replaced with an iMac soon, the other shelf is just empty). I want to add rack rails for rack-mountable audio equipment, such as power conditioners and recording interfaces. I am thinking I have room for some one- to two-space pieces underneath the monitor stand, but can't think of how to mount them. Alternatively, I could mount them to the bottom of the desk where the shelves currently are. Lots of thoughts but I just can't for the life of me make this make sense in my head.

Does anyone use a Fredde desk for music/audio production? Have you added rack rails, and how did you do so?

Thanks!
