No one is safe from the bullshit known as Christmas it’s like a plague of tinsel and Jolly stupid crap! It’s October for fuck sake and already we have to put up with Christmas shit
My step sister had her first child in April and put up her Christmas tree halfway through October. I feel so bad for her kid if that's how she's going to grow up. Halloween is such an important thing for kids to celebrate! It's all about having fun and being silly with your friends! There's no expectations about what to do or how to act. No horrible travel to see family members that can't relate with you because they're five times your age. No insane shopping trips or cooking stress or money troubles. I hope that she realizes what she's taking from her daughter and allows her to enjoy spooky season when she's old enough that it can actually mean something to her.
