I've been looking for more music that I like. I know it's really hard to recommend people music when that person has weird tastes that are hard to classify into a distinct genre, but I'll try and give examples of what I like.

I generally prefer female singers over male singers. I generally like emotional/melancholy songs, especially ones that might not have a depressing sound, but have emotional lyrics. I guess I like more pop, especially older style pop. I like 1930s-1950s big band/swing jazz, and ragtime, but I'm not crazy about modern jazz really. Oddly, though, I don't really like any electroswing I've heard.
