Some games I used to play a lot as a kid and really liked were:
- Minecraft (Mostly played Prisons, Factions, and anything else where you could compete against other players on a mid-long term time frame via building a base, leveling up, in game economy, etc)
- Wizard101 (Loved the animation style and card collecting aspect)
- Realm of the Mad God (Loved the Fame point ingame economy High level item collecting aspect of this game)
- Toontown (Enjoyed the 4v4 fighting style and the grind of unlocking new gags)
Could probably think of a few more but these are like the 4 games I played a lot of growing up, I've tried to go back but none of them feel the same anymore, either because the game has just gotten kind of stale (too much end-game grinding from people who have been playing for 10 years) or just because I'm an adult now? Idk
I've been dying to find a game that I can experience similarly to how I played these games as a kid. I think the things that these all have in common that I'm looking for are:
- Cartoon/fantasy style graphics, not a big fan of anything super realistic or high detailed
- In game economy
- Ideally has an active community with opportunities for camaraderie with other new players/friends, such as thru a faction/clan/party or whatever
Would GREATLY appreciate any good recommendations!
have been looking for something that tickles the same part of my brain that those other games did when I was a kid for years and haven't found anything yet. Thanks in advance!
