Hey everyone, just wanted to give an update on how things are progressing, future plans, & other tidbits.

Subreddit wiki

I plan on enabling the wiki for this sub to gather a knowledge base of useful information. Things like team manager resources, Instant Challenge ideas, & more. I'm still debating on who should be able to edit this, but initially, it will just be mods. Once it's established, I may open it up to contributors to the sub that surpass a certain karma threshold.

Traffic

I just wanted to share this with everyone, to show we're gaining some engagement. I started working on cleaning up & advertising the sub in early March. They aren't massive numbers in the grand of scheme of things, but we're definitely seeing a large uptick in visitors. In comparison to last April, we already have about 3 x's the amount of traffic & we're only 9 days into the month! Plus, many states have their Affiliate tournament this upcoming weekend, so we should get some draw from more teams after that as well. Our subscribers have also DOUBLED in the past 3 weeks. Granted, that's not a lot when you start with 11, lol. But hey, it's significant growth! EDIT: Update, we've more than tripled the subscriber count, moving on up!

Advertising

This is the largest area I could use help or ideas. This isn't a typical subreddit, where I want to just plaster it all over Reddit, it should just be target towards DI participants. My plans as of now are to tell people about it at my Affiliate tournament this weekend, share the subreddit with as many DI groups as I can, & write the sub's name in chalk all over campus during Globals. When I unveil my pin for this year, I plan on doing it on this subreddit & posting a link on the DI pin trader's group, so that should bring in a ton of people. If anyone else has other ideas, please share with the class. The more involvement we have, the better this community will be!
