I take Armodafinil as needed to overcome my chronic idiopathichypersomnia and brain fog issues. Often, I don't take it because It seems to be a slow time-release drug with an extended half life which causes me problems. Too often I can't get to sleep on time because it is still stimulating me too much at 11:00 at night and severely interferes with getting a good night's sleep. I never take Armodafinil in the morning when I know I am sleepy because of a lack of quality sleep. Taking it when I know I didn't get enough sleep is drug abuse in my opinion. I've thought about taking a benadryl pill to help me sleep but that doesn't seem like a good thing to do. Does anyone else in this group deal with your medication having a too long half life? If so, how do you deal with it?
