Sorry if this has been asked recently, but are we encouraged/allowed to downvote people using factually wrong information to argue their point? Or is this discouraged? Like I'm not going to downvote someone who says "well I think brussel sprouts just have the most amazing flavor" but is it acceptable to downvote someone who says "well I've only been eating brussel sprouts for 20 years and I'm healthy so that means that a diet of pure brussel sprouts it's the healthiest diet you can have?"
Downvotes aren't really discussed much in the rules, especially not pertaining to comments. I understand that it's not encouraged to downvote posts, but I am confused about downvoting comments.
