Making new social media, Uber, YouTube, etc...

Do you think people would actually go for it? I keep debating on coding things to replace those sites without the stupid ads, selling of data, and more that people complain about... But then I think, people likely won't switch. Especially since there are others out there already so... Is this even a viable idea?!
Plus, who knows what I would even name the replacements
