Long story short ( as possible)
Back in Aug 2023 I drove over a freshly paved gravel road that was unmarked/no crews ect. This road was the only way in and out of my location.
Needless to say my truck was covered in asphalt.
After starting a claim and get getting an estimate for repairs ICBC deemed it a total loss... then came back with comps to establish replacement value.. all were not even close. And after back and forth over the next few weeks we landed on a figure that I would accept. I then asked what the salvage value would be if I choose to buy it back through the owner retention program.
Now it's been 1 full month of no email or phone response im left having no idea what they are doing..
Any idea how long they can drag this out for ? Should I get a lawyer ( probably not worth the $$) my adjuster is useless.. " its being handled by another department.. I can't do anything " cough out lame answer for us..
I'm still driving the truck but hate the idea od having this claim outstanding incase something else where to happen while driving..
Brutal.. rant over any advice?
