I watched I Sam's mom. A couple i thought Gunsmoke was over the top. I mean I understand his job was to protect Freddie from the bad guy. But man... he was very funny. I liked watching him.

He reminded me of Lewbert, except a less neurotic. (Lewlbert is very loud and vocal, can't always control his emotions. Gunsmoke is very quiet and controls his emotions very well for the most part.)

I thought it was halarious. Made it a great plot. Especially when he showed us how he would protect Freddie, demonstrating it on Spencer and Carly.
