I’m a pretty new diagnosee. I constantly flip flop from constipation to diarrhea. Typically no in between. I’m talking not going for a week, finally making a walk-in to see pcp on 8th because of the pain and he prescribed (you probably can guess it!) Miralax. Three days of daily dosing and I went...painfully. And proceeded to have nonstop diarrhea for a week and a half no matter how bland I ate.

My pcp and his team said they think I have IBS (type unknown yet) but my symptoms are so strange no one seems to be able to to figure me out. They all just look at me with the same confused look on their faces.

I’ve lost 40lbs and I have no appetite. Once upon a time I would’ve maybe wished for this...or maybe I did. Didn’t realize it would come with the lower back and side pain and all the absolutely awful abdominal cramps day in and out.

Anyway. Thanks reddit for eavesdropping on my doctor appointment and recommending me r/ibs
