Underage in Ibiza

I'm visiting Ibiza for a weekend in July and bringing my sister along for the journey. We are planning to go to Pacha, Hi and Amnesia and we are planning to pre-buy our tickets. She has a US ID that says she's over 18 - otherwise her passport will say 17. She looks old for her age, I'm 29 and the rest of our group will be closer to my age.
1.) What is the frequency of even checking? Or do they check everyone regardless
2.) If they do check, do they REQUIRE a passport - or can she show a USA ID?
