My understanding is that when you go to trade school in 353 you get laid off, ostensibly so you can collect unemployment during that time.
From what I've heard, this also presents an opportunity to go to a different contractor, is that right? I've already gone from one contractor to another, so I'm familiar with that process, would it be the same for going to trade school? After school, I just call the hall or go on the website and put my name on the out of work list and wait my turn?
I ask because I'd like to work for a variety of contractors during my apprenticeship and these trade school layoffs are seemingly the only predictable opportunity you get.
