This week's challenge, suggested by u/sentient_person, is 'banana' cities, that is, cities with alternating vowels and consonants. The pattern can either be CV-CV-CV-CV or VC-VC-VC-VC, for any length. Spaces and punctuation are ignored, so for instance 'El Paso' does not count because 'elpaso' has the pattern VCCVCV. The city must have an even number of letters, i.e. if it starts with a consonant it must end with a vowel or vice versa. As always, any version of the city's name accepted by the quiz works.
Medal criteria (subject to change):
- Gold: 150 cities
- Silver: 100 cities
- Bronze: 50 cities
You must play from memory (no use of Google or the 'every country/state' option), and I discourage guessing random names that you don't know. Please include a link to your saved results in your comment and also state the number you got in the comment to make it easier for me to hand out the medals. Have fun!
