Can I (really) Run It?

Hey all, I have some what of a dated computer but I really want to try iRacing. My specs are * AMD FX 5600 (OC 4.4ghz) * Power Color R9 390 (8GB) * 8GB of RAM (have two 8GB sticks installed but it won’t read for some reason)
Do I really need 16GB of functional RAM or can I get by? I play Automobilista 2 at 60fps no problem.
