First win, but at what cost - WWYD?
Post Body

I started 7th b/c I didn't quali, and my previous time must have been held higher than others. So I make my way through the field (cleanly) and this is the last lap. I saw the move coming because why not it's very predictable. I gave him room to the outside, because why not, there's no way you can pass on the outside and still make the turns. So I brake first preparing for the turn in, and this happens - bounces me over the kerbs, gives me a time penalty for cutting the course, and I still try to manage making the second chicane turn. I have to slow down for 3.5s - now I panic, I know I'm ahead by this margin b/c I have the intervals tab open in racelab. But should I have just finished? Would it have added the time penalty? What would you have done? I still ended up with SR&IR. PS Yes I'm a terd because I have the race line on - Flame away.

TL;DR - Did I do this correctly waiting for my time penalty for "cutting the track" or should I have just finished the race in first?
