As the headline says , I’m a new racer . I understand there is a lot to learn and over the time I’ve taken a liking to Mazda MX-5 . I made it out of D license plate okay to C license and have seen that they have Advanced Mazda and I’m hoping and assuming without all the calamity and craziness of Global Rookie. Anyway, my question is, where do I begin to learn actual racing setups. I.e Why I should use lower pressure tires on this track what damper settings are just the whole lot . I want to be able to have a small understanding of vehicle setups in general. Every race I’ve done has been fixed so I’ve not had to tune the specs myself. How do I learn the mechanics of this side of racing and is it worth it just to sim race?
