Issues with Manual Focus on Tele lens
Post Body

Hi Folks,

being brand new to this Reddit forum I want you to ask whether I am alone with my problem regarding the iPhone 13 pro. Mine is one month old, bought new, looks totally brand new, kept safe in an Otterbox Defender case. I never dropped it. The issue I am experiencing is the following. Whether in the standard or RAW setting, wether night mode is turned on automatically or switched off, I am not able to set the focus manually on the Tele lens. I am coming from the 12 Pro Max and never had this weired issue with manually setting the focus and the cam not following this. I am not talking about the macro mode, just to make it sure. Already made a soft reset, even a complete reset via iTunes (Apple support told me to do so). Also, focusing does not work properly within third-party camera apps like Halide or ProCamera. The problem is, that I am not able to verify whether this issue has been occurring before the update to iOS 15.1. Regardless of the lens I use, wide or tele, focusing definitely is not as accurate as it was with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Is it a bug? Not using any camera lens protection, issue als occurs while shooting bare (without case). Would be nice to hear from you folks whatโ€™s the deal here with my device as Apple could not find any hardware issue while having a chat (and remote system check) with them.

Cheers Chris (Berlin)
