Purple hue around the screen border under white background

Someone who used my device just pointed out that there’s purple hue around the screen border/edge under white background.
Previously I was not aware of about this and the only thing I did prior was updating the OS to iPadOS 15.4.1
Can someone tell me what caused this purple hue and will it “damage” my screen further or it could potentially just a software bug that can be fixed in next update(s)?
p/s: This is old iPad Pro 9.7" 2016
