How to make coverart fill the entire width of the phone?

I'm using CoverFlow to customise the colours and the album art has a border/padding around it like this:
What I'm coveting is something like this (photo is from Maxkjaer's theme) http://i.imgur.com/k7c6qSe.png
I fear it's because I'm on the 4S without that extra real estate, but is there a tweak that can help?
