Feeling a little down/lost at the moment from a job rejection, could use some advice. Really thought I had a good chance at this job since they were looking for someone to teach and grow with their team in a Jr dev role, but oh well.
My background is in engineering (non-Software) but decided to take some courses on object-oriented software development. Have some iOS courses on Udemy and stuff like that. Few months ago I started to really focus on iOS/Swift and have been building an app written in SwiftUI that I hope to be releasing in a couple weeks here (currently in Testflight).
I live in a major Canadian city but the iOS development job market isn't really there. Mostly tech startups looking for more senior developers. Been on the lookout for remote jobs but a lot of them seem to be US based.
I do really enjoy learning and buildings app but starting to doubt myself and how I can transition this into a job. Safe to say I'm feeling a bit of imposter syndrome at the moment. For those who have successfully (or in the process of ) made the leap, do you have any tips or suggestions?
I guess one unsolicited advice I have is Twitter seems to be pretty useful for connecting with other iOS developers.
