In January, my friends and I were sitting around, and had one of those "wouldn't it be great if there was an app for this?" ideas. Now I know those ideas are a dime a dozen, but I decided that it didn't sound too complex, and that I might be able to do it.

The app is called 'Back To Here,' and basically allows you to set a bookmark at your current location, and points you back in the direction of that bookmark if you ever select it later. So you can use it to remember where you parked, where you're meeting up with people later, where you left your gear, etc.

Working through a couple different subreddits (including this one) and two iTunesU courses, I got a basic understanding of XCode and Objective-C. I submitted my app last week and it was approved yesterday!

I'm super excited, nothing I've ever written has had other people using it. I'm here to tell everyone to stick with your hobby projects, it feels so good to look at the iTunes page with my name on it.
