Has anyone tried affiliate marketing to promote in-app purchases?

Post Body

I want to offer commissions for anyone who brings paying customers to my app. It’s free to download and have monthly and annual subscriptions.

I’m looking at offer codes but I’m not sure if I’ll get all the information I need to pay people.

I’m not set on this but I’d like to pay people around 50% of the income generated through their code. To achieve this I need to know how many payments are being done through the code. Now just when the user redeemed it but also renewals and cancelations.

Has anyone tried or done something similar?

I’m also thinking about the limitations of offer codes to 1,000,000 redemptions per app. It seems like a lot and if I get to that many redemptions then you could say the app is successful and I shouldn’t need affiliate marketing anymore. But what happens when you reach this number?
