The new battery screen with the graphs is just horrible. It's evident that many don't understand what all the numbers mean, especially for the fact that screen off time doesn't mean the amount of time the screen was off. Instead, it means that your phone was active during said amount of screen off time (which on it's own is a good feature as it's actually allowing you to detect apps that cause 'wakelocks', just a poor UI implementation).
Now.. I find it very hard to believe that the skilled UX UI teams at Apple are capable of pulling such a bad design intentionally.
It's simple: the new battery screen doesn't allow to view stats since last full charge, which is the metric used by most of us to TROUBLESHOOT battery issues! For example, I got a replacement iPhone recently and I suspect that the battery on it isn't as good as it should be, I can't get more than 6 hours of screen time on it (even with battery health showing 100%). With iOS 11 I was able to pin point that number and make a really good case at the Genius bar for as why this is not working the way it should - something I can't do with the new batt stats screen.
