The ios11 lockscreen bug that causes the clock and all notifications, including ones when you pull down from the top of the screen, has driven me nuts. I’ve been experimenting with a lot of different things and would always end up having to restart my phone to get it to go away but without fail it would be back usually within half an hour.
Today though I noticed that before it occurred there was a common theme. Every time it would happen I would go to unlock my phone with my fingerprint and if I woke my phone with the home button (simultaneously unlocking via fingerprint scanner) there would be a brief second where the clock would disappear and the phone would unlock. After that, every time the clock would be gone and the big would be back. I switched off unlocking the phone with fingerprint and am now using a passcode and so far it hasn’t occurred. It’s annoying and inconvenient but it’s kept my notifications from disappearing and I’m not restarting my phone multiple times a day. Just an FYI in case anyone cares.
