2023 iMac not showing video

Bought a new iMac for school. Love it, but when I try to watch video content from the official Apple TV app or Vudu via safari browser, all I get is a black screen. I can hear the audio, but no video. YouTube plays just fine via safari. So what’s going on with Apple TV and Vudu?
