I Really Screwed Up My Fusion Drive. Help?

Post Body

I have a late 2015 iMac and it had a fusion drive, a 24GB PCIe NVMe fused with 1TB HDD. I bought a 1TB WD Blue 3d SSD, so I pulled out the hdd and tossed in the SSD. I had a problem reinstalling Monterey so I used recovery mode to open terminal and used the command diskutil resetFusion and then after about 13 hours it finally completed the install. But since I split the fusion drive I can no longer access anything on the old hdd. When I plug it in to the iMac via USB it fails to mount the apfs partition but I can see the bootcamp partition and the OSX partition, but in disk utility the apfs partition is grey and it shows it as disks. So is there any way to retrieve the data from the partition that was once fused with the 24gb pcie drive? I was expecting to be able to migrate all my data and settings to the new installation but obviously it's not working. Any advice, or am I screwed? Can I access the data or is it gone? Thanks in advance.
