Hi all. So far, I’ve had no problems with my 2021 M1 iMac. Recently, on start up, I hear the initial chime sound and the apple appears. But then the sound cuts off before finishing and the screen goes black for a second. Then the apple appears again and the computer starts up normally. After that, no problems. Why is this happening?
Please keep in mind that I have two hard drives via a hub, an older iPad which I use as a second screen, and two pieces of music gear (an audio mixer and a USB keyboard) all connected to the Mac when I start it up. I tried disconnecting everything and adding each item one by one and restarting my computer. The issue did not reoccur.
However, when I shut down my computer, then restart after a while (say, the next day), this issue happens again.
Thoughts anyone? Thank you!
(Oh and PS, haven’t upgraded to Ventura yet.)
UPDATE: I installed Ventura and now all is well!
