Holiday 2020 Order Fulfillment Times - Click Here First
Post Body

Hi All,

It is tradition around the Holidays that we make a post regarding processing and shipping time-frames.

As you are all surely aware, this year has been an unprecedented challenge in balancing workplace safety protocols, increased demand for PCs, and unpredictable shortages of components due to many factors stemming from the COVID 19 pandemic.

A result of this is that we are unable to provide an accurate shipping time-frame for individual orders placed on Black Friday or afterwards, as there are too many variables. However, we will be posting the AVERAGE fulfillment times here, just to give you a ballpark of expectations.

*1/10/21 Edit* We have worked to train some employees to use the Helpdesk system to answer emails after hours to try and bring the email response time down.

PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR ORDER/RMA NUMBER and a brief summary of your request in any DMs. It will save you a lot of time, trust us. With some DM response time exceeding 24 hours, you are saving yourself literal days of back and forth.

Some important notes to cover

  1. We ask that you please do not contact our customer service department simply to ask for an ETA. There are customers with legitimate and time sensitive order issues that need to be handled and we need to make sure they are able to get through.
  2. If you have a payment or other time sensitive order issue and are unable to reach our customer service via traditional channels (phone, chat) we encourage you to reach out to us here on Reddit or on Discord at discord.gg/ibuypower
  3. Excepting extraordinary circumstances, we cannot offer any rush service or priority to any individual order.
  4. As a rule of thumb, if the item still shows "pre order" on our configurator that means we still have more orders than available parts visibility on upcoming supply, so we cannot offer a close ETA on these later orders simply because we don't know when we are getting the parts either.
  5. Orders are not fulfilled on a first-in-first-out basis. Orders are grouped together and sent to production based on order and approval dates, but once they are picked, they can enter any one of several parallel assembly lines. Combined with a high likelihood of parts shortages, this means that two orders placed at the same time can end up shipping days apart, so just because someone else who ordered on the same day has seen progress doesn’t necessarily mean yours will too.
  6. If your order hits a part shortage and does not contain a “pre order” part, we will contact you to suggest a part change if we believe the order will be delayed more than a few days as a result.

*Updated 2/25*

Order Placed Percent Shipped Waiting for Shipping Waiting for Assembly and QC Waiting for Parts Backlog
11/30 or earlier 99% <1% <1% <1% 0.2 days
12/1-12/8 98% <1% <1% 1% 0.1 days
12/9-12/16 98% <1% 1% 1% 0.1 days
12/17-12/23 96% 1% 3% <1% 0.1 days
12/24-12/31 96% 1% 3% <1% 0.2 days
1/1-1/7 92% 2% 6% 1% 0.3 days
1/8-1/14 83% 2% 11% 4% 1.0 days
1/15-1/21 78% 3% 15% 4% 0.8 days
1/22-1/28 55% 8% 27% 11% 1.3 days
1/29-2/4 38% 13% 43% 6% 1.8 days
2/5-2/11 18% 21% 60% 1% 2.4 days
Total System backlog at max capacity 15.3 days

*if you see the total backlog growing day to day it means we are still getting more orders than we can output so the ETAs will grow longer and longer for new orders. If it shrinks it means we are catching up. This number should represent the average ship out time for new orders placed today, and is in business days. We are at effectively 6 business days per week with the Sat and Sun shift being about the same combined as a weekday shift.

Pre Order Supply *updated 2/25*

Our current inventory (or confirmed incoming shipments) are enough to fulfill orders up until this date.

Component Supply good until
RTX 3070 today
RTX 3080 1/10
RX 6800 Removed
RX 6800XT No stock
Ryzen 5900x/5950x 2/22

*Pre-Orders are listed for the generic model graphics cards, specific card models may have longer ETAs

For those who have been messaging me or tagging me for updates and ETAs, I apologize for not responding to all of you. The chart should tell you a lot of what you need to know, that we are incredibly behind on our holiday orders. Any address issues or cancelation requests I am trying to get to as quickly as I can, which means I simply cannot afford to track down individual orders to see where they are at. I can only ask that you remain patient and we will get to your order as quickly as we can. -Brad
