I've been trying to find out what is going on with my computer, but I am not even sure if they know. It was RMA'd for a bad mother board last month.
I sent it in last month, it was received on the 13th. A week or so later I used their chat to find out that my computer hadn't even been touched yet. I accepted that, as I imagine things are pretty backed up for them right now.
The technician contacted me directly (I had left a note asking for them to). He said that there was a problem with the processor, and that he had replaced it and flashed the bios. This was on the 26th, 9 days ago. He said it would be shipping back to me soon.
2 days ago I asked for more info, did not receive a response. I used chat, but had to leave before they connected. Since the chat lets you ask a question when starting, they responded with my current status. They said it was waiting on a part.
I called this time. What part could it be waiting on? Apparently, a processor and a network card. The processor was supposedly already installed. The board itself (which was never replaced) has onboard ethernet and wifi.
So what could actually be going on?
tl;dr: Computer has been in RMA since the 13th. After the repair was supposed to have been completed, parts I shouldn't need are being ordered and it is waiting on that.
