Tint2 on autohide with i3: how to achieve tint2 not showing when urgent/notify signal happens?

i use tint2 to make my girlfriend have the option of launching firefox for example.
When an urgent signal (new message in Pidgin for example) comes, tint2 un-hides and i'd like to get rid of that. I guess it's a matter of configuring tint2, but can't find any way.
I hope it's ok to post that here and am thankful for help/your experiences!
