Hi! I’m 36 yrs old and 1 week post op of a laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy. They removed cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes. A few endometriosis lesions were also removed and they placed a mesh sling under my urethra to correct stress incontinence then corrected a urethrocele and rectocele (I had mild internal prolapse of my urethra, rectum and uterus) and seems to have tightened up my perineal area as well. I have 4 small incisions on my belly and one on either side of my groin that all look great.
I quit taking oxycodone on day 4 and have been good about drinking water and taking all my other meds. I’m still walking slowly, vagina and perineal area very sore, sitting upright is bearable for about 20 minutes, still very tired, my belly looks about 50% less bloated but still having some gas pains and even though stools are soft and regular it is still uncomfortable to go.
Has anyone here had these extra procedures with their hysterectomy and does this sound about right for 1wpo? I’m feeling a little depressed because I’m normally a very active person and I’m mostly laying around.
