I’m trying to keep my mind busy as I got the confirmation at my appointment last week that surgery is my last resort and it’s time. Scheduled for two weeks from today and not taking it well. Reading thru here or other groups is making my anxiety so much worse 😅
But for those of you who had a normal, laparoscopic surgery (and removed all but the ovaries), how long was it before you were back to short runs? What about more intense training like CrossFit or powerlifting?
I’m not expecting to wake up from surgery and pull a 200 lb deadlift warm up, but realistically, when can I expect to start heavier lifting again? Or even start doing (faster paced) 5k runs?
I’ve worked so hard to lose a ton of weight in the last two years and the idea of sitting back and not continuing my fitness training for months and months on end is killing me. I’ve bought all the meds, the comfort items, my Kindle TBR list is a mile long. But this is the one thing I’m struggling with more than anything else.
