So as the title suggests, you're given the power of near limitless talent. Want to be a chess master? By simply trying you can quickly become the best in the world. Or maybe music is your passion? You could be the greatest musician of our Era. Whatever you choose to follow, you will absolutely excel in.
So on to the downside. For the rest of your life you will experience severe clinical depression. Nothing you do or accomplish (no matter how extraordinary) will bring you that sweet dopamine kick you used to get in everyday life. Anything that used to bring you pleasure like friends, family, food, sex, art, pets etc will only bring you the barest of satisfaction. You'll never (genuinely) laugh or feel elated again.
There's no way to use your genius to make yourself happier either. Anti depression drugs will have no effect. The pill you took is, for all intents and purposes, magic and irreversible.
You could use your new power to seek fame and fortune, you could help friends, family, or even the world at large.
Would you do it, despite the sacrifice? What do you think you'd try to accomplish if you did?
