Basically the title.
The better a person you are (ie, the more of an effort you put into being selfless or do good things for other people) will actively cause you to live a shorter life. Assume the most saintly person won't live past 35
Conversely the more evil you are, the longer you will live. If you totally devote yourself to evil (torture/sacrifice etc) you could theoretically live forever.
This suddenly takes affect on humanity. Up until now reality has worked as we know it. Assume everyone instinctually just knows the change has taken place.
How would this affect society at large? How would it affect you personally? Like how evil or even just less selfless would you become in an effort to live longer?
Edit
Being evil does not give you any super powers or abilities you don't already have. It basically just rejuvenates your youth. It will not literally make you younger.
Being "good" will not make you physically age faster. Your body will simply fail much sooner due to "natural causes".
